Antonio Conte may leave Italy Football before Euro 2016

Standard

After being appointed as the replacement for Cesare Prandelli only in the summer, there have been several reports that Italy manager Antonio Conte would resign even before the next round of Euro 2016 qualifying matches.

The former Juventus manager has been regarded as one of the brightest in Italy football at this age.Conte has been reportedly unhappy with the way Italian clubs have not supported him. According to close sources,Conte feels that Italian Serie A clubs can do a lot more when it comes to giving him the players that he needs in order to get the results with Italy.

Conte me have managed five victories and one draw from his six matches, but his future is seemingly under doubt. However, he has brushed aside any rumours by confirming that he intends to see his contract with the national team.

Conte has a contract with Italy until the Euro 2016. After the national team were knocked out of the World Cup in the group stages,Conte is expected to make Italy a force once again. He took over a Juventus team in the second division of Italian football and has guided them to three successive Italian league titles.

“I took on a job with people that enthusiastically wanted me and with the Italy fans. This job gives me such a responsibility that although the speculation is part of football, I rule out that eventuality (resigning). I hope this meeting will be institutionalised and that we have it at least once a year. I know what coaches think just as I know what players think, having been a player myself. This meeting allows me to create a continuous rapport with coaches and players and, as a consequence, to get some feedback from the clubs,” said Conte. Italy take on Bulgaria in a Euro 2016 qualifying match in March.
